Location: Washington, DC

Type of Employment: Full-Time

Overall Responsibility: America First Works (AFW) is seeking a Development Coordinator to support the cultivation and stewardship of AFW’s growing community of supporters and stakeholders. The qualified applicant should possess a deep respect for American liberty and freedom and an eagerness to advance the America First Agenda through strategic advocacy and engagement.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Process incoming contributions and coordinate the acknowledgment process under the direction of the AFW Executive Director.
  • Prepare and maintain materials for supporter and prospect engagement.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of small donor engagement events.
  • Serve as the hospitality point of contact for major AFW events, including managing RSVP tracking, sending emails to supporters, and coordinating hotel room blocks.
  • Execute preparation and timely follow‑up for development events, including the creation of digital invitations and event materials, as needed.
  • Support the AFW Executive Director in scheduling and managing meetings and calendar logistics.
  • Assist the AFW Executive Director in planning high‑level, VIP “fly‑ins” for key stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, political science, business, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
  • 2–4 years of experience in development, fundraising, supporter relations, or executive‑level administrative support—preferably within an advocacy or issue‑based nonprofit environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem‑solving and project execution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to professionalism and discretion.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and supporter databases (Salesforce experience a plus).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact confidently with high‑level stakeholders and organizational leadership.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours or travel occasionally in support of key supporter engagements and events.
Compensation

Salaries for positions will be commensurate with the experience, expertise, and skills of the individual.
