Position Title:
Clinical Nurse Specialist – Education – Neonatal ICU

Position Type:
Permanent | Onsite

Compensation: $121,772 to $203,257 annually + Relocation Assistance + Full benefits (Based on Experience)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team. In this role, you’ll serve as an expert clinician with advanced skills in teaching, mentoring, consulting, research, and systems improvement. You’ll influence outcomes by providing expert consultation to care providers and leading improvements in healthcare delivery systems.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as an expert clinical resource for NICU nursing teams and multidisciplinary staff.

Design and deliver education programs to support staff development.

Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes.

Mentor and support nurses in clinical decision-making.

Collaborate with leadership to improve systems and processes.

Required Qualifications

Master’s, DNP, or Ph.D. from a CNS program accredited by CCNE or NLNAC (or currently enrolled in such a program).

Washington RN License (upon hire).

BLS – American Heart Association (upon hire).

Minimum of 3 years of RN experience in the specialty area.

Equivalent coursework and experience considered (e.g., Master’s/Doctorate in Nursing with related focus).

Preferred Qualifications

Current CNS certification.

Certification in NICU specialty.

At least 2 years of clinical leadership experience.
