This is a 32-bed medical-surgical unit. Travelers care for a wide variety of patients with various surgical, medical, and psychosocial needs, making it a great place to develop skills and solidify base in nursing practice. The unit is known for its teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration. The unit prioritizes high quality; patient centered care and accomplishes this through strong teamwork. The nursing staff works closely with hospitalists, Rehab therapists, and social workers to develop each patient's individualized plan of care.

The unit serves as a resource for management of:
Total Joints, Orthopedic/Spine Trauma, and Fractures.
* Travelers on this unit see a variety of surgical cases, head to toe procedures, specializing in Orthopedic/ Neuro Spine and Trauma. If your passion is post-op management, this would be the unit for you. Some of our other commonly treated diagnoses include sepsis; cellulitis; patients who are post-procedure; and acute exacerbation of chronic medical conditions, such as various respiratory conditions, kidney or liver disease, and diabetes.
