NOTE:

Salary is based on licensure and experience. Pay scale of ($32 – $35 per hour for LPNs) and ($48 – $50 per hour for RNs) depending on training, education and experience.

This position is eligible to participate in up to 4% of the company bonus pool. Benefits include medical, paid time off, up to 5% 401(k) match, and tuition reimbursement.

• Perform physical examinations and establish medical history to determine donor suitability
• Build rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction
• Ensure donor and staff confidentiality
• Provide donor awareness regarding potential hazards
• Provide donor education regarding general health and counsel on unacceptable test results
• Evaluate and manage donor injuries and adverse events
• Evaluate any history of illness or medications to ensure continued donor suitability
• Assist in employee training
• Administer employee Hepatitis Vaccine program

Educated and currently certified/licensed in the state of employment and according to state requirements as either a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse;
Current CPR certification required.

• Work performed both standing and sitting for 2–4 hours per day.
• Bending and twisting of neck required up to 1–2 hours per day.
• Frequent hand movement with ability to make fast, simple motions of fingers, hands, and wrists.
• Precise coordinated movements to grasp and manipulate objects.
• Frequent foot movement; may squat, crouch, or sit on heels occasionally.
• Light lifting up to 15 lbs; maximum lift 50 lbs; may reach below shoulder height.
• Hearing acuity essential.
• Color perception/d discrimination: near vision correctable to 20/30 and far vision to 20/100.
• Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
• Works independently and follows oral or written instructions.
• Performs a wide range of tasks as required by changing conditions.
• Handles sensitive information in a plasma center setting.
• Exposure to biological fluids with potential infectious organisms.
• Exposure to electrical office and laboratory equipment.
• Exposure to extreme cold below 32°F while operating plasma freezers; personal protective equipment required.
