Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery provides skilled nursing care to patients in a high-risk perinatal unit, including labor and delivery, antepartum, and postpartum care. Responsibilities include patient assessment, monitoring, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The role requires experience in facilities that handle a significant number of deliveries and the ability to float to Postpartum as needed.

Responsibilities:

- Provide direct patient care in labor and delivery, antepartum, and postpartum settings.
- Monitor patients and fetal heart rates, and interpret data.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, surgical technicians, CRNAs, and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist with deliveries and Cesarean sections.
- Provide patient education and support to families.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in EPIC.
- Float to Postpartum as needed.
- Assist patients in their routine activities of daily living.
- Collect patient data and specimens.
- Communicate patient status and reports changes in patient condition to licensed professional.

Required Skills &

Certifications:

- Active Registered Nurse license
- BCLS, ACLS, NRP certifications
- AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring certification
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- Experience in facilities that handle 100+ deliveries

Preferred Skills &

Certifications:

- Experience in facilities that handle 200+ deliveries

Special Considerations:

- Must be willing to work weekends
- Must be willing to float to Postpartum
- Clinician can be called off for 1, 12 Hour Shift per 2 week period
- Must include all RTO at the time of submittal.

Scheduling:
- 12-hour shifts
- Schedule includes weekends
