Description:
Start date:
ASAP. Shift: 3x12 Days. First-timers not accepted. Weekends required. Floating required. Unit is high acuity and fast-paced. Patients include medically complex and critically ill individuals. Common conditions include respiratory failure, multisystem organ failure, and various shock states. Standard patient ratio is 2:1, but may increase to 4:1 under certain conditions. Travelers should be prepared to float to other units if necessary.
CNA support is available on each shift. Frequent procedures include central line placements, intubation, and thoracentesis. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, physical therapy, and social services. Facility is a Level II Trauma Center with 571 staffed beds. Charting is done using EPIC. Professional experience and specific skill sets related to critical care are essential. Travelers may be expected to float between facilities as needed.
