Position: FAI Inspector

- Complete AS9102 FAIR’s per customer and industry requirements.
- Review the following documents for accuracy when completing FAIR’s:
Drawing Notes, Specifications, Travelers/Routers, Pick Lists, BOM’s, CMM Reports, Supplier Certifications, and any other applicable documents necessary in order to complete FAIR’s. - Ability to verify the FAI part(s) with inspection gages, measuring tools, microscope, and camera, as needed.
- Maintain safe working environment and report any potential hazards.
- Be punctual in attendance and general work schedule breaks and lunch.
- Reliable and flexible to work additional hours on short notice to complete orders and special projects to meet customer or internal demands.
- Ability to meet challenging time targets to meet customer demands.
- Performs Inspection and maintenance of gauges and fixtures.
- Performs dimensional and functional inspection per Sample Requests, Validation Protocols, Work instructions and special requests from customers.
- Executes specific responsibilities as defined within the company quality operating system.
- Other inspection duties as assigned.
- High school education or equivalent with 2-4 years office or document control experience.
- 3 years experience completing FAI’s per AS9102.
- Effective communication skills across departments and teams/Customer service skills.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and OEM specifications.
- Ability to understand QMS and customer requirements for maintaining documents and specifications.
- ISO
9001/AS9100 experience highly desired. - Experience working with databases and/or spreadsheets required.
- Strong alpha-numeric filing skills required.
- Familiarity with Portal is highly desired.
- Excellent interpersonal skills required.
- Good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize required.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
- Previous Document Control experience is a plus.
- Thorough knowledge of various kinds of office software is required.
- Experience with basic measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, optical comparator, and microscope) Optical Gauging Product Optical Machine.
- Able to read and interpret Blue Print and understanding of GD&T
