Quality Assurance Manager
An industrial construction and fabrication company in Everett, WA is currently hiring for a Quality Assurance Manager. This position will oversee company-wide QA/QC programs across fabrication shops and construction job sites, ensuring compliance with industry codes and internal standards while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Pay: $130,000 – $160,000 (Depending on years of experience, tenure, certifications, and industry experience)
Location:
Our client in Everett, WA location (combination of office and field-based work)
Schedule:
Standard Monday - Friday (40+ hours per week, may vary based on project needs)
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain corporate QA/QC manuals, standards, and procedures
- Oversee ASME BPVC and NBIC programs and maintain required certifications
- Maintain WPS, PQRs, and welder continuity documentation
- Coordinate third-party inspections, NDE testing, and compliance activities
- Ensure calibration of testing equipment and welding machinery
- Lead non-conformance tracking and corrective/preventative action processes
- Perform project-level compliance reviews (specifications, materials, inspections)
- Conduct audits and inspections across fabrication shops and job sites
- Inspect fabrication work for quality, dimensions, and accuracy
- Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support project teams and participate in planning and execution meetings
- Assist estimating teams with quality and compliance requirements
- Maintain QA/QC reporting tools and documentation systems
Qualification Requirements:
- Proven experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control within construction or manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of mechanical construction and fabrication processes
- Working knowledge of ASME, NBIC, and welding standards
- Experience developing and implementing quality policies and procedures
- Strong inspection and auditing experience
- Root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational ability
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) preferred
Disqualifiers:
- No experience within construction, fabrication, or similar industrial environments
- No exposure to welding processes, codes, or inspection standards
- Limited experience managing or developing QA/QC programs
- Inability to work in both field and office environments
