Aerospace CMM Programmer

Position Summary

Under general supervision and reporting to the Quality Operations Manager, the CMM Programmer is responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of a CMM to ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications.

• Set up and run existing programs, perform alignment and daily calibration, and understand basic program commands and datum structure.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain files of inspection documents.
• Review inspection records for compliance.
• Maintain inspection and measuring equipment.
• Prepare and coordinate Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) for nonconforming parts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• CMM programming skills in PCDMIS, CALYPSO, or other programming languages.
• Experience performing FAIs – AS9102.
• Use of hand measurement tools.
• Experience with other inspection devices such as 3D scanners and FARO arms.
• Dimensional inspection of aerospace machined components.
• Familiarity with the CMM inspection process.
• Knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• Blueprint interpretation.
• Understanding of quality management systems and performance metrics.
• Some knowledge of CATIA and CAD desired.

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Pass pre‑hire background check including drug and MVR screening.

• High School Graduate or Equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in dimensional inspection of aerospace machined components.
• Aerospace/Manufacturing experience – 5 to 10 years.
• PCDMIS experience required.

• US citizenship required.
• Fluent English – reading and writing required.
• Pass pre‑hire background check including MVR screening.
• Pass pre‑hire drug screening.
• Reliable transportation – must have current/active driver’s license and auto insurance.

Incumbents must perform work efficiently, effectively, and timely with minimal direction. Physical activities may include light lifting and prolonged sitting. Vision sufficient to read printed documents and observe behavior of others. Typical manufacturing plant conditions. Hours Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; occasional extended hours and weekend overtime. Employees may stand, walk, sit, reach, stand or walk approximately 1–2 miles, lift up to 20 pounds.

$33.00‑$52.00 per hour, eligible for overtime. Salary information is a general guideline; factors such as scope, responsibilities, experience, and business considerations are taken into account when extending an offer.
