Biology Expert (AI Training)
What if your years of graduate research in biology could directly shape how AI reasons through the most complex problems in science? We're looking for Biology experts — Masters and PhD holders — to help train cutting-edge AI models to think more rigorously about genetics, biotechnology, bioinformatics, and beyond.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for working scientists and researchers. You'll apply your deep domain knowledge to develop and evaluate advanced biology problems that push AI reasoning to its limits — no prior AI experience required.

- Design, solve, and critically review advanced biology problems with real-world scientific relevance
- Apply your expertise in genetics, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or related fields to construct complex, nuanced problem statements
- Evaluate AI-generated biological reasoning for scientific accuracy, depth, and clarity
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to sharpen model performance
- Ensure every deliverable meets the highest standards of scientific rigor and precision
- Holder of a Master's or PhD in Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, or a closely related field
- Deeply knowledgeable in at least one of: genetics, biotechnology, or bioinformatics
- Comfortable coding in Python or R — whether from research, coursework, or independent projects
- An exceptionally clear communicator, both in writing and verbally
- Detail-oriented with a systematic, scientific approach to problem-solving
- Fluent in English
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or AI evaluation workflows
- Familiarity with AI tools or language model outputs
- Background spanning multiple biology subfields — the broader your expertise, the more you can contribute
- Work on frontier AI projects alongside the world's leading AI research labs
- Fully remote and asynchronous — work when and where it suits you
- Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, intellectually stimulating work
- Put your graduate-level expertise to use in a way that shapes AI for the scientific community and beyond
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
