We are seeking a skilled and energetic Barista to join our team at a busy coffee shop in the heart of Washington. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating delicious and high-quality coffee beverages while providing excellent customer service. This is a contract job with a starting salary of $1400 per month, without accommodation provided. This position is ideal for students or individuals with experience in the food and beverage industry.

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including lattes, cappuccinos, and espressos
• Ensure quality control by properly measuring and grinding coffee beans
• Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and handling complaints
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including restocking supplies and cleaning equipment
• Promote menu items and make recommendations to customers based on their preferences
• Operate cash register and handle financial transactions accurately
• Follow health and safety guidelines at all times

• Previous experience as a barista or in the food and beverage industry preferred
• Knowledge of coffee brewing methods and latte art techniques is an asset
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers from diverse backgrounds
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
