Pastry Chef - Indian Cuisine

Our prestigious restaurant in Washington is seeking an experienced and skilled Pastry Chef who specializes in Indian cuisine. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious and visually appealing desserts and pastries that complement our menu of authentic Indian dishes.

• Create and prepare a variety of desserts and pastries inspired by traditional Indian flavors
• Develop new dessert recipes that showcase creativity and innovation while staying true to the essence of Indian cuisine
• Oversee the daily pastry operations including ordering ingredients maintaining inventory and ensuring high quality standards are met
• Train and supervise pastry staff to ensure consistency in taste presentation and portion sizes
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure a smooth flow of food production and timely delivery of desserts to guests
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment
• Continuously stay updated on industry trends techniques and ingredients related to pastry making

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef specializing in Indian cuisine
• Proven track record of creating innovative dessert recipes with a deep understanding of traditional Indian flavors
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team
• Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Culinary diploma or degree preferred
• Must have legal authorization to work in the US

Salary Starting salary of $1200 per month with potential for growth based on performance.
