The Ned’s Club Washington DC boasts 3 restaurants each serving a unique style of cuisine from around the world. We will also host incredible events with customized menus for our guests. As a Pastry Line Cook you will play a vital role in the preparation and execution of all pastry and dessert items across the Club restaurants and Events Kitchens. You will work closely work with the Head Pastry Chef, to ensure your role meets the highest level of craftsmanship, consistency, and artistry—reflecting the refined culinary identity of The Ned’s Club Washington DC.

Who We Are…The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time.
Seven years after launching The Ned London in 2017, we are proud to be have opened a Ned’s Club in the US capital, our fourth and newest location.
The Property…Ned’s Club Washington DC is a members’ club set over three floors of a neoclassical style building situated within President’s Park at 734 15th Street NW. The Riggs Building sits opposite the US Treasury and was constructed in 1930. The 12-story building is located around the corner from the White House and sits above the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, formerly the historic Riggs Bank Corcoran branch.
The Club has a Rooftop Terrace and Loft Restaurant with views overlooking the White House, US Treasury and Washington Monument, plus a Founder’s Dining Room, The Library, Drawing Room, Gallery and Conservatory. On level nine, there is a self-contained floor of private event spaces.
As part of our Pastry kitchen team and reporting to the Head Pastry Chef and kitchen team, you will:- Assist with daily production of pastries, breads, and plated desserts for The Gallery, Kaia, Founders Dining Room, and private events.
- Execute recipes and presentations to the exacting standards set by the Executive Pastry Chef.
- Manage prep lists, organize station mise en place, and ensure smooth service transitions between outlets.
- Maintain precision, consistency, and artistry in every component leaving the pastry kitchen.
- Execute banquet and event pastry requirements according to BEOs and service timelines.
- Work closely with and learn from the Head Pastry Chef, gaining exposure to menu development, flavor composition, and presentation design.
- Communicate effectively with the savory kitchen and service teams to ensure timing, plating, and service excellence.
- Take initiative in problem-solving, organization, and maintaining high morale within the pastry department.
- 2 to 4 years of professional pastry experience; fine dining, luxury hotel, or private members club background preferred.
- Strong technical foundation in classic and modern pastry techniques including laminated doughs, custards, mousses, tarts, and plated desserts.
- Experience managing or leading a station in a high-volume production environment.
- Solid organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Culinary or pastry degree preferred
- Uphold Ned’s Club standards of excellence, hygiene, and food safety at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
- Ability to assist with ordering, inventory management, and waste control to support operational efficiency.
- Protect recipe integrity, ingredient quality, and consistency across all outlets.
- Ensure all products meet established visual, textural, and flavor standards before leaving the kitchen.
