Sales Associate Part Time-Everett

Overview

We are looking for part‑time Sales Associates to deliver outstanding customer service and drive sales in our stores. The role involves assisting customers, managing merchandise, and operating the cash register.

• Greet and assist customers promptly, acknowledging them immediately and handling multiple customers efficiently.
• Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing them to merchandise, and offering recommendations.
• Engage in suggestive selling while staying informed on product availability.
• Promote store events and promotions by informing customers about current activities to enhance their shopping experience.
• Resolve customer concerns by addressing issues and using product knowledge to offer alternative solutions, attempting to turn returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate needs to management, regularly informing them about merchandise restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback.
• Support the team and company goals by collaborating to achieve overall store and company objectives, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

• At least 16 years old.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and occasional travel.
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers, handheld and mobile devices.
• Good communication skills with the ability to engage with customers.
• Ability to handle customer interactions and potential issues/concerns courteously and professionally.
• Basic information‑gathering skills to solve problems.
• Willingness to learn procedural knowledge through on‑the‑job training.

• Operate cash register frequently.
• Move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove merchandise up to a height of 5‑10 feet.
• Ascend and descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
• Position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop as needed, including in the stock room and on the sales floor.
• Communicate and exchange information with customers on the telephone and face‑to‑face, and with managers and coworkers.
• Move across the sales floor assisting customers and retrieving/putting away merchandise from the stock room.
• Maintain a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
• Identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
• Work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including day, evening, weekend, overnight shifts, and travel (as required).
