Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Florist to join our boutique floral shop located in the bustling city of Washington DC. This is a contract position with a salary of $1,600 per month.

• Design and create floral arrangements based on client preferences and event themes.
• Source and select high‑quality flowers, plants and accessories from local suppliers.
• Maintain inventory of flowers and supplies ensuring freshness and quality.
• Provide exceptional customer service by consulting with clients to understand their needs and offering creative suggestions.
• Manage orders, deliveries, and set‑up for events as needed.
• Keep up‑to‑date with current trends, techniques and styles in the floral industry.

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a florist in a retail or event setting.
• Excellent design skills with an eye for detail and creativity.
• Strong knowledge of different types of flowers, plants and their care requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
• Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
• Proficient in English; additional languages are a plus.
