Summary of Role

As a Business Development Representative (BDR) you will be trained in all aspects of the products and solutions we sell to the commercial real estate market. You will work with the sales team to generate new meetings, proposals, and contracts with clients. Your day will involve training, client meetings, networking at events, and continuous industry learning. The goal is to progress to a Business Manager role, building your own book of business.

This is an opportunity for an aspiring sales executive to grow while working hard and learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain relationships with marketing decision makers across all asset classes and sectors in our targeted markets.
  • Drive event sponsorship sales (digital and in‑person) by conducting in‑depth prospecting to source and confirm sponsor participation.
  • Consistently prospect new business to build a strong pipeline for the senior‑level sales team and become an expert at specificity prospecting.
  • Connect with sponsorship prospects via phone and email strategies; respond to all inbound leads.
  • Assist the event production department in building sponsor‑friendly programs that align with Bisnow’s client interests.
  • Brainstorm fresh and relevant topic ideas to adapt to industry trends.
  • Understand both individual and team KPIs and position yourself to hit, or exceed, daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
  • Document daily activities in Salesforce CRM.
  • Work closely with the sales team to accelerate our sales cycle and extend reach into target accounts.
  • Collaborate with a cross‑functional team to ensure successful sponsorship, marketing, and financial performance of events.
Qualifications
  • 0–2 years of sales experience.
  • Innate hustle, raw intelligence, and infectious enthusiasm.
  • Entrepreneurial yet disciplined mindset with a creative, organized work ethic.
  • Fast learner able to master new digital and event products.
  • Experience excelling in a group or team environment.
  • Strong interest in developing an externally facing sales role and working closely with clients.
  • Interest in the commercial real estate industry.
  • Interest in media and digital marketing solutions.
  • Receptive to feedback and open to constructive criticism.
  • Ability to thrive in a high‑energy, fast‑paced, frequently changing sales environment.
