Responsibilities- Proactively pursue new business opportunities by identifying and contacting prospective veterinary practices through cold calls, targeted emails, social selling, and in‑person visits.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of high‑potential leads using data‑driven prospecting tools (e.g., Outreach, Salesforce, Zoom Info) and personalized engagement strategies.
- Overcome objections and navigate complex stakeholder environments to secure meetings and advance prospects through the sales funnel.
- Deliver compelling, value‑based pitches and product demonstrations, tailoring Covetrus’ solutions (technology, Vet Suite, and services) to address prospect pain points.
- Track key performance indicators including outbound activity volume, lead conversion rates, pipeline velocity, and influenced revenue.
- Consistently convert prospects into high‑quality pipeline opportunities and meet or exceed aggressive individual quotas for outbound activity, lead conversion rates, and opportunity creation.
- Maintain meticulous CRM hygiene, ensuring accurate tracking of all prospect interactions and pipeline progress in Salesforce.
- Travel up to 75% to meet prospects face‑to‑face, attend veterinary industry events, and showcase our Vet Suite solutions live.
- Build trust and rapport with decision‑makers in veterinary practices through consultative, relationship‑first selling.
- Represent Covetrus at trade shows and conferences.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales Operations, and Sales Enablement to align campaigns and go‑to‑market initiatives.
- Participate in training and coaching sessions to sharpen sales hunting skills and stay current on product offerings.
- Provide feedback from prospect interactions to refine outreach strategies, messaging, and tools.
- Share regular updates on progress, challenges, and market insights with leadership.
- 7+ years of experience in B2B sales or business development, with a proven track record in sales hunting or prospecting roles.
- Demonstrated success in cold calling, lead generation, and exceeding activity and pipeline targets in a high‑growth environment.
- Proficiency with modern sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, Outreach, Zoom Info) and CRM systems.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong resilience, adaptability, and a relentless hunter mentality.
- Ability to travel up to 75% for prospect meetings, industry events, and on‑site engagements.
- Experience in veterinary, healthcare, or life sciences.
- Background in solution selling or SaaS sales.

Salary may vary depending on confirmed job‑related skills, experience, and location. Sales positions are eligible for a Variable Incentive. The pay range for this position is $122,880–$175,560.
