Position: Sr. Sales Leader - Growth Driver

Position Overview

The Sr. Sales Leader - Growth Driver is a water treatment sales position focused on growing business and driving Chem Treat’s market position within a designated geography or industry. The role leads the creation, improvement, and implementation of innovative sales strategies to increase market share and profitability.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Familiarity with chemical water treatment systems and applications.
  • Provide analysis of markets, trends, competition, portfolios, technologies, and revenues.
  • Increase sales and profits by meeting assigned targets for profitable sales volume and margin dollars.
  • Retain existing customer base by fostering Chem Treat value certification and earning return on investment.
  • Actively generate new accounts and develop key relationships with customers.
  • Identify and engage key decision makers within existing accounts.
  • Prospect and conduct cold calls to generate new customers.
  • Follow up frequently, utilize strategic questioning, and drive to root cause customer needs.
SUPPLEMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prospect and cold call generation of new customers.
  • Create and present effective proposals to prospective customers.
  • Communicate the Chem Treat value proposition to prospects.
  • Help transition new business to the account management team when applicable.
  • Entertain customers and prospects in accordance with Chem Treat’s entertainment policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Self‑motivated with a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or equivalent.
  • Industry knowledge specific to water treatment.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a technical degree (or equivalent).
  • 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • 7+ years of successful water treatment related experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Travel dependent on the size of assigned territory. May require long hours & varied work schedules. Duties include sitting, walking, standing, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, and operating equipment. Requires use of hands and fingers to handle objects and operate computer keyboards. Must be able to reach, squat, lift, carry, push, or pull up to 60 pounds. Occasional need to climb stairs and ladders and work at high elevations.

Occasionally required to drive both short and long distances within DOT regulations. Vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth) required. Reasonable accommodations available.

WORKING CONDITIONS & ENVIRONMENT

Must wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for deliveries, including eye, hearing, respiratory protection, apron, steel‑toe shoes, gloves, hard hats, or face shields. Environment may include indoor and outdoor sites with high noise levels, extreme heat, and hazardous chemicals. Work may be conducted at boiler houses, cooling towers, water plants, wastewater plants, or process areas.

COMPENSATION

The first‑year total target compensation for this role is between $150,000 and $200,000. The position offers uncapped variable earnings potential, with targeted overall compensation expected to increase each year in accordance with plan terms. The role is also eligible for commission pay and a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and a 401(k).

AT WILL STATEMENT

Employment with Chem Treat is at‑will; either party may terminate at any time for any reason without notice unless a written agreement exists.
