Overview
Guardian is seeking a Group Benefits Sales Representative who will build and maintain broker and plan holder relationships to drive ongoing sales and retention of groups of 2-1,999 lives, primarily focusing on 100-1,999 market groups.
Responsibilities- Market, position, and sell Guardian’s entire Group Benefits portfolio products and technology solutions to designated brokers, including Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Absence, and Supplemental Health products.
- Support the overall wellbeing of broker and client relationships to enhance Guardian sales and client retention.
- Understand territory dynamics to build, develop, and maintain broker relationships, growing the book of business while representing Guardian’s vision.
- Consistently achieve or exceed personal sales production expectations by understanding products and implementing tactical sales strategies.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to analyze market trends and anticipate consumer demands.
- Represent Guardian as a market leader, sharing thought leadership and maintaining strong community relationships.
- Identify, recommend, and champion process improvements and organizational initiatives to increase product sales.
- Achieve required industry licensing within 90 days of hire and maintain the license through completing continuing education requirements.
- A BS, BA degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum of 4 years group insurance sales experience or a combination of Guardian work experience, education, and related extracurricular activities.
- Experience and knowledge of relevant industry products and processes, including Worksite, LTD, Dental products, complex absence products, online enrollment, experience rating, and dental network analysis processes.

Up to 60% travel within the territory. Successful hire will be based in the assigned territory (Seattle, WA area).
SalarySalary Range: $40,000. The base pay estimate is for the primary location; the final amount will consider education, experience, knowledge, and abilities. Eligibility for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation may also apply.
