Position: Account Manager/Insurance Sales (West, US Region)

Insurance Account Manager – Shield Commercial Insurance Services

We specialize in contractors’ insurance coverage — from the ground to the rooftop, and everything in between. The Account Manager (AM) will ultimately drive the expansion of the Shield business, proactively seeking and acquiring new clients, understanding their specific needs, and offering solutions. Building strong relationships will help facilitate business growth.

Location

The role oversees Shield's West/Northwest region. Candidates must reside in the Pacific Northwest.

Responsibilities
  • Visit 4 potential new agents / current agents a day, totaling 3 days a week.
  • Maintain continuous awareness of connections, sales, terms, and keep relative records within Salesforce.
  • Follow up and maintain existing relationships while nurturing new ones.
  • Identify cross‑sell opportunities for other lines of insurance.
  • Engage with potential clients in the field an average of 1 week a month, 3 times a quarter with regional clients.
  • When not in the field, make calls, send emails, and attend virtual meetings to maintain relationships with new and current agents.
Qualifications
  • P&C license not required, but highly preferred.
  • Previous retail or wholesale experience.
  • Detail‑oriented with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong teamwork ability and the willingness to support multiple individuals.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and prioritization skills with great time‑management.
  • Willingness and ability to travel; travel requirements will lessen over time once relationships are established.
