Inside Sales Representative – 4N0001 (General)

Key customer contact and consultant at United Rentals branches, responsible for recommending solutions, quoting, selling, and fulfilling orders for equipment and services based on customer needs. Drive sales and branch growth while delivering outstanding customer service.

• Process rental quotations, reservations, and contracts.
• Establish new rental and sales accounts by serving walk‑in and call‑in customers.
• Negotiate prices on equipment rentals and contractor supplies in accordance with pricing policies.
• Dispatch delivery trucks and manage customer expectations regarding delivery.
• Generate leads for new business and communicate leads with Outside Sales Representatives.
• Warm call on lost and/or dormant accounts to retain business.
• Maintain a clean and presentable showroom, sufficiently stocked with merchandise.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Exceptional relationship‑building and customer service skills.
• Strong ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

• Establish understanding of rental business for specialty engineered products (electric/hydraulic pumps).
• Process rental quotations, reservations, and contracts.
• Establish new rental and sales accounts by serving walk‑in and call‑in customers.
• Educate customers about proper equipment use.
• Coordinate with all inside and outside branch employees for customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate and track daily equipment pickups and returns.
• Run reports to monitor equipment and facilitate smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of branch assets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of fluid solutions related products and applications preferred.
• Strong sales and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word and Excel).
