Responsibilities
- Build and maintain long‑term business relationships with customers to achieve sales and gross margin goals.
- Develop a sustainable sales and profit volume in the assigned territory.
- Conduct regular in‑person sales calls to prospective and existing customers, introducing and demonstrating new products.
- Provide pricing and business solutions, including bills of material for industrial customers.
- Use a conservative sales approach to sell products and services, offering add‑on and upsell opportunities when appropriate.
- Resolve customer requests and problems promptly and professionally, keeping customers informed of company and vendor policies.
- Communicate competitive conditions, customer financial weaknesses, and feedback to management.
- Cooperate with suppliers for joint sales calls to secure mutual business.
- Execute sales efforts ethically and professionally, reflecting favorably on both the salesperson and the company.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience and/or training in wholesale electrical distribution and prior sales experience.
- Valid driver’s license with ability to travel up to 25% of the time, including overnight stays.
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities (verbal and written).
- Self‑starter, detail‑oriented, and capable of working quickly and accurately under time constraints.
Base salary of $65,000 – $95,000 annually, inclusive of significant sales commission opportunity.

- 51–100 lbs occasionally; buddy lift or mechanical device advised.
