Territory Sales Representative – Pacific, WA 98047 (Hybrid)
Job OverviewTerritory Sales Rep prospects, qualifies, and closes new customers by selling propane solutions in a specific territory. The role focuses on building relationships with commercial accounts and meeting or exceeding sales goals set by the Territory Sales Manager.
CompensationBase salary in the range of $65,000 – $65,000 annually. Eligible for performance‑based commission monthly and an annual bonus. Total compensation potential up to $128,000 based on achieving targeted goals.
Responsibilities- Increase commercial revenue from new and existing customers.
- Establish strong relationships with prospective customers using prospecting and business development techniques.
- Develop and execute a sales plan for the assigned geographic area to maintain high activity and increase productivity.
- Prepare and present sales proposals to current and prospective customers.
- Focus efforts on decision‑makers in target client organizations.
- Manage time effectively to build relationships, meet commitments, and deliver results.
- Protect Ameri Gas from competitive threats and share competitive intelligence.
- Stay current on propane products, solutions, and industry regulatory changes.
- Collaborate with the Territory Sales Manager and vendors to improve sales tools and techniques.
- Maintain knowledge of applications and customer solutions.
- Attend periodic meetings and training classes as required.
- Prepare complete and accurate paperwork based on corporate policy.
- Review commission statements and ensure accurate payment.
- Use the CRM tool for new account acquisition.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Extensive sales experience with a proven record of meeting or exceeding goals.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build internal and external relationships.
- A strategic mindset with deep understanding of propane business, products, and selling process.
- Proficiency in independent prospecting and sales skills in a defined geographic territory.
- Excellent time‑management to maintain productivity across the territory.
- Solid understanding of propane products and services.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for customer visits and trade shows.
- College degree or equivalent work experience.
- Sales experience with a documented record of success and goal attainment.
- Commercial/industrial sales experience preferred.
