Job Summary
Responsible for formulating, planning and overseeing sales plans and strategies for customer acquisition, upgrade and retention through the direct sales channel, including door-to-door, community based events and retail locations. Provides leadership to all in-house and contract sales vendors to achieve maximum results. Communicates the mission, vision, values and goals of the sales organization to all sales team members. Develops financial and operational objectives.
Ensures operational plans are aligned with business objectives. Contributes to functional strategy development. Manages one or more groups of professional employees.
- Develop and achieve sales objectives through setting quotas, sales pitch approval, and product presentations to sales staff.
- Perform on‑site training, coaching, skill development and direction to supervisors and contract sales organizations, enforcing organizational selling standards.
- Analyze sales trends and productivity, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Communicate and update Marketing Vice President and leadership team through analysis and reporting of business opportunities, results, trends and competitive information.
- Coach sales representatives to enhance the sales process and achieve superior customer satisfaction.
- Oversee resolution of all customer problems.
- Maintain expenses within budget to achieve financial objectives.
- Conduct frequent field visits (minimum two times per month) to each sales organization’s location.
- Create and implement business‑building programs for direct sales through the marketing team.
- Partner with key program managers and the Marketing team in developing and implementing programs, including offers, incentives and training.
- Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance, including nights, weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (preferred; experience and coursework may be considered).
- 7–10 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong direct‑selling, leadership, sales objectives, and sales process skills.
- Excellent communication, analysis, and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Base Pay: $ – $ (dependent on experience).
- Targeted Commission: $31,500.00 with potential for significant upside.
- Eligible for commission and bonus programs as applicable.
