Commercial Service Technician

Salary Range: $20.00 To $25.00 Hourly

Maintains existing customer base by servicing customers’ needs that include mounting, dismounting, balancing and repairs on site and off site for customers.

• Inspect and diagnose customer vehicles for service and tire problems. Communicate necessary repairs and/or replacement of parts, recommend additional preventative services and help sell services to the customer if warranted.
• Provide excellent customer service to existing accounts by staying in touch, immediate follow-up and resolving issues.
• Take on-call and after‑hours calls.
• Complete service orders; process tickets, invoices, and bills for customers, verify credit status, make billing adjustments, initiate purchase orders for parts, assist with updating information on the computer, and maintain records/files for follow‑up.
• Operate air compressor, impact gun, hub‑cap hammer and other various machines and tools.
• Perform tire work (retail and/or commercial, on and off site).
• Mount and dismount, conduct air pressure checks and repairs (fleet checks).
• Ensure lug nuts are tightened to the proper torque specifications.
• Perform fleet inspections and properly document.
• Complete all necessary training including TIA training and other requirements.
• Demonstrate over a six‑month period the ability to conform to DOT and Commercial Tire driving requirements and follow applicable Company Policies.
• Check bar code and explain the screen.
• Acquire all pictures/documents required by accounts.
• Follow proper procedures for a service call on the side of the road (cones, flashers, parking, etc.).

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Valid Driver’s License and Insurable Driving Record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to meet DOT driving requirements.
