Position Summary
This candidate will cover King county, Auburn, Kent Renton, and Tukwila areas. Light & Wonder (L&W), Field Service Technician II is responsible for completing assigned tasks at customer locations, including scheduled calls, installs, conversions, removals, preventative maintenance (PMs), and unscheduled calls; service and supplies.
The Certified Field Technician II will troubleshoot all customer problems over the telephone and/or travel to customer locations for repair, installation, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and removal of company equipment with limited direct supervision. Responsibilities include installing, setting up, troubleshooting, configuring, and performing preventive maintenance on EGMs, PTG, ETG, and all utility products.
Responsibilities- Track time accurately and use ADP to record time daily.
- Follow fleet vehicle policy, keep and track part inventory.
- Learn and understand Light & Wonder gaming products, including theory of operation, abnormal operation, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Use Salesforce to manage customer tickets, inventory, and interactions for product support and parts requests.
- Apply safety training in the field and wear PPE.
- Safely use common hand and power tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, drills, multimeters, etc.).
- Support other creators on all utilities/EGM products.
- Ensure tools and equipment are kept in proper, safe condition and report any needed repair/replacement in a timely manner.
- Return completed paperwork for processing promptly.
- Provide high‑quality service to customers.
- Troubleshoot problems down to the component level using internal diagnostic tests, options, and functional testing.
- Perform basic repair and preventative maintenance on assembly‑level components.
- Train less experienced technicians on troubleshooting techniques.
- Stay abreast of the latest technology and related technical bulletins, and install field updates as needed.
- Replace faulty components when authorized by the customer.
- Verify property specifications so game options and parameters can be set accordingly.
- Review customer issues with management and tech support and ensure customer satisfaction with Light & Wonder equipment.
- Must be at least 21 years old, as required by law.
- Basic electrical or mechanical knowledge.
- One to two years of experience in the assembly, testing, or repair of electronic devices or mechanical repair.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Past gaming experience, electronics background, mechanical background, or IT knowledge.
- Valid driver’s license for the state in which you are based.
- Valid gaming card (or ability to obtain one).
- Basic mechanical assembly skills.
- Basic knowledge of electricity, electronics, and mechanics of gaming type devices.
- Ability to read and understand schematics and service manuals.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Desire to lead and help others.
- Problem‑solving skills.
- Pleasant personality toward customers.
- Must be able to lift/push/move heavy equipment over 70 lbs.
