Heavy Structures Technician – Licensed (Airbus)
HQ Aero is currently recruiting for Heavy Structures – Licensed (Airbus) in Everett, WA.
Responsibilities include:
- Reading and interpreting manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals, service bulletins, drawings, engineering orders, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repair, replacement, or modification.
- Overseeing and co-signing for uncertified mechanics in accordance with the ATS RSM procedures.
- Repairing, modifying, replacing, or otherwise performing routine aircraft maintenance work.
- Using technical data to order parts and ensure material is effective for aircraft being installed on.
- Gathering information to submit to Engineering as needed.
- Recognizing unsafe conditions and taking immediate corrective action.
- Assisting Leads with planning, production, and quality assurance of assigned projects.
- Communicating effectively with other maintenance personnel at all levels by keeping co-workers and leadership apprised of work progress and difficulties as they arise.
- Facilitating On-the-Job Training (OJT) to provide learning opportunities through work assignment and mentoring.
- Recommending changes to processes to improve efficiencies and workflow.
- Complying with and communicating ATS policies, procedures, and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements. Promoting "Balanced Technician" concept.
- Mentoring and developing mechanics assigned to their functional areas.
- Assisting in regular feedback and performance coaching including appropriate management of time, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring proper knowledge and training to accomplish assignments to all members of assigned crew.
- Responsible for accurate timekeeping including clocking into jobs.
- May be responsible for accuracy of clocking into jobs for assigned team.
- Adhering to company training guidelines.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Effective and appropriate conduct with co-workers.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Structures:
- Heavy interior modifications experience – cabin reconfiguration experience.
- Ability to remove and reinstall monuments efficiently and without rework.
- Airbus water/waste interface familiarity (preferred).
- Proficient with precision locating and installation of monument hard points on floor structures.
- Repair, replace, and rebuild A/C component structures.
- Possess basic computer skills.
- Repair & modify flight control surfaces and components.
- Utilize special installation tools, such as blind rivet guns, etc.
- Utilize OEM and Engineering drawings to modify aircraft structure.
- Complete specialized tasks, such as flap peening, cold working, etc.
- Fabricate repair parts using special shop tooling, such as brakes, stretchers, etc.
Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:
- Minimum of three (3) years' recent commercial aircraft maintenance and/or heavy Airbus Structures experience.
- Applicable Repairman, Airframe, or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification.
- Communicates well, both verbally and in writing.
- Works effectively with limited supervision.
- Flexible and able to easily adjust to change.
- Results and detail oriented.
- Excellent work ethic that demonstrates dedication, concern for safety, and integrity.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Standard Aviation Tool Kit required.
- Criminal Background Check & Compliant to FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.

Essential Job Functions
Working Conditions:
Required to work frequently near moving mechanical parts. Required to work in outside weather conditions. Exposed to loud noise levels. May be required to work after hours and on weekends as needed. Physical Demands:
Able to lift a minimum of 50lbs. Able to use arms, hands, and legs to accomplish tasks. Able to sit, stand and squat for extended periods of time. Able to climb with balance on and off aircraft. Mental Requirements:
Problem-solving and critical thinking.
