Everett Ship Repair is the Pacific Northwest Premier Ship Repair Facility. Founded in 2019, Everett Ship Repair offers vast ship repair capabilities from its facility in Everett, Washington, including repair, maintenance, and conversion services for any type of commercial vessels, with focus on commercial workboats and passenger vessels. With the US Navy as our neighbor, it is no secret that we are in aggressive pursuit of earning their business as we grow our footprint, skills, and profile in this market.

With impressive dry-docking capacity, and an opportunity to be part of an emerging team of industry veterans and highly skilled tradesmen, ESR strives to continuously improve our repair and construction methods into efficient and reliable processes. We are seeking a Scaffolder Journeyman who is responsible for the safe erection, modification, inspection, and dismantling of scaffold systems and environmental containment systems. This position performs work independently, mentors apprentice scaffolders, and consistently delivers quality workmanship while ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, environmental requirements, company policies, and customer specifications.

What You Will Do
  • Independently erect, modify, inspect, and dismantle scaffold systems
  • Install, maintain, modify, and remove environmental containment systems, including plastic sheeting, shrink-wrap, debris netting, and temporary enclosures
  • Read and interpret scaffold drawings and work plans
  • Inspect scaffold materials for damage and serviceability
  • Install guardrails, decking, access systems, bracing, and fall protection
  • Maintain proper scaffold tagging procedures
  • Mentor apprentice scaffolders
  • Coordinate work with Lead Foremen and other trades
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas
  • Report hazards and safety concerns
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and productivity
  • Other tasks as directed
Qualifications

What You Bring to Our Team

  • 3+ years of scaffold experience
  • Demonstrated ability to independently erect, modify, inspect, and dismantle scaffold systems
  • Proficiency in environmental containment installation
  • Ability to read scaffold drawings and work instructions
  • Strong safety record
  • Ability to mentor apprentice scaffolders
  • Thorough understanding of scaffold construction methods
  • Knowledge of environmental containment installation techniques
  • Ability to read scaffold drawings and blueprints
  • Knowledge of OSHA scaffold standards.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
