Position Summary:
Walmart is expanding its workforce and looking for a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our local and regional teams. The role involves executing routine maintenance tasks to uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart Stores, equipment, and fixtures.
- Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment).
- Utilize the work order management system to receive and document reactive repair work orders.
- Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
- Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
- Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
- Can move up and down ladders frequently
- Comfortable working at heights frequently
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Able to work in various temperatures
- Hold a valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
- Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related trade

The hourly wage range for this position is $31.00 - $61.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
Minimum Qualifications- Vocational or technical certification and 2 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
- Option 2: 4 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record.
- Ability to read and speak the English language as required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
- Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, or OUI within the last five (5) years.
- Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
- Completion of a 2‑year Vocational or Technical trade program.
- License in related trade in city and/or state where job is located.
- No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
- No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
- Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
