Job Details:
  • $40-$50 an hour to start, with opportunities for conditional increases as your industry specific knowledge increases.
  • Reports to:

    Everett, WA or Lakewood, WA shop with paid travel time to jobs.

    Shifts Available:
    Mon-Fri, 7:30am - 4:00pm
  • Overtime, and On-Call participation is required (5-6 week rotation).
Job Duties (Training is provided):
  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues in fueling systems to minimize downtime for gas stations and other petroleum facilities.
  • Depending on licensing, replace, install, wire, and troubleshoot electrical components in fuel distribution systems, point of sale systems, and related equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Complete testing of customer sites per government regulations, which may include testing sensors, pumps, lines, tanks and more (training is included).
  • Perform routine maintenance on fuel dispensers (Wayne, Gilbarco, etc.), including replacing nozzles and breakaway hoses.
  • Use hand tools (wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers) and power tools (drills) for maintenance tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and repair fuel dispenser leaks, such as leaking nozzles, pumps, valves. Replace O-rings, gaskets, and basic piping fixtures.
  • Assist with tank monitoring and sump pump operations. Install or replace sump pumps.
  • Perform pressure testing, replace meters, filters and faulty sensors.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues at dispensers or Point of Sale (POS) systems. Replace electrical components and perform basic voltage measurements using a voltmeter/multimeter.
  • Follow job documents and safety protocols, take detailed job notes and update relevant systems with laptop or ipad. Set up safety equipment and barricades as needed.
  • Maintain a well-organized and fully stocked company vehicle, ensuring it is clean and functional.
  • Drive to customer sites and shop locations daily, with occasional overnight stays (paid).

This job duties list is not exhaustive. You will be trained and certified as your career progresses to do more advanced technical work related to servicing the fuel industry.

Fulfilling the role as described will require an 01 electrician license through the state of Washington L&I. Candidates with other specialty licenses are highly encouraged to discuss opportunities with the Company, although the pay range and job description may differ.

Qualifications:
  • A valid 01 General Journey Level Electrician (01) License in Washington State with L&I. Candidates with 07 and 07E licenses are highly encouraged to apply, although pay ranged may differ.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all electrical concepts & theory.
  • Mechanical Skills – experience with hand tools (wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers) and some basic power tools (drills) is required.
  • Basic Computer Skills – ability to use laptops and other electronic devices (iPad, phone) proficiently is required.
