Seattle City Light offers a Pre-Apprentice Lineworker (PAL) Program, a six-month paid training track to prepare for the Lineworker Apprenticeship. Trainees work with skilled line workers on established crews and gain hands-on experience in high‑voltage electrical work.
After training, PAL participants may advance to the Lineworker Apprenticeship and complete a 3.5‑year program with extensive on‑the‑job training and classroom coursework, including an evening BEAM component.
