The Field Support Technician performs installation, service, and maintenance on Collins Aerospace Interior seating products and lavatories at Boeing aircraft manufacturing facilities. This role focuses heavily on electrical troubleshooting, system reliability, and support during aircraft build and delivery. This role will report to our Renton, WA facility and is a 1st shift position. The hours for 1st Shift are 5:30am - 2:00pm.

• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues on business class, economy class, aircraft seating, and lavatories, provide clear recommendations and solutions to internal teams and customers
• Analyze and physically check wiring, operation of various electronic units, and systems components necessary to troubleshoot malfunctions during testing of components, equipment, or systems
• Use multimeters for continuity checks and system validation; verify system reliability during installation and test activities
• Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, component maintenance manuals, and engineering drawings to diagnose issues and execute repairs
• Perform on site field service including installation, operation, removal, and replacement of complex electronic and mechanical equipment to meet customer and company requirements
• Support customers with technical questions during pre--and post-installation phases
• Perform self-inspections on work performed, and coordinate with Quality Assurance for buy-off
• Complete all required documentation accurately in Boeing’s CMES and ensure Collins work tracing systems reflect current work status
• Assist with re-testing after installation to confirm systems meet required performance standards
• Communicate effectively with Collins leadership, Boeing teams, and customers to resolve issues and report status
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed to support field service operations and provide temporary support at other sites
• Perform other duties as assigned

In this role, there will be frequent standing, walking, climbing, reaching, and working in confined areas; occasional kneeling, crawling, and lifting up-to 50 lbs. In this role you will be exposed to wet/humid conditions and outdoor environments, moderate noise levels.

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated experience in electrical troubleshooting
