General Function:

The Resident Community Resource Advocate (CRA) coordinates and delivers resident enrichment and resource navigation services in support of Opportunity Council's Tenant Connect program. This position serves residents living in select affordable housing communities throughout Snohomish County by providing on‑site resource navigation, outreach, resident engagement activities, and referrals to community resources that promote housing stability, wellbeing, and self‑sufficiency. The CRA works collaboratively with property management staff and community partners, and team members within Integrated Community Services to identify resident needs, increase access to community resources, coordinate resident‑focused events, and connect residents with services that support long‑term stability.

Principal

Activities:
  • Provide on‑site resource navigation services at assigned affordable housing communities for a minimum of 2‑3 hours per month per property.
  • Provide resource and referral assistance to residents by phone, email, and in person.
  • Assist residents with accessing public benefits, housing resources, healthcare, employment services, food assistance, and other community‑based supports, including Coordinated Entry when appropriate.
  • Provide information and referrals related to seasonal and program‑specific resources, including eviction prevention, tax preparation assistance, utility assistance, school supply programs, holiday assistance, and other available community resources.
  • Coordinate and support resident‑focused events, resource fairs, workshops, and community engagement activities in collaboration with property management staff and community partners.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with property staff, service providers, and community organizations to increase access to resources for residents.
  • Coordinate the distribution of informational materials, resource flyers, and community updates to residents and leasing staff.
  • Maintain familiarity with the Tenant Connect website, promote its use among residents and property staff as appropriate, and review resources listed for contracted properties twice monthly.
  • Collaborate with Tenant Connect Services Coordinator and VOAWW Connect Data Systems Analyst to update resources on the Tenant Connect website and Kintone database, ensuring accurate information is accessible to clients and VOAWW staff.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of resident contacts, referrals, outreach activities, events, and services provided.
  • Track on‑site service activities, resource fairs, partner engagement, and informational materials distributed at assigned properties.
  • Compile and submit required monthly reports and activity data to Opportunity Council and VOAWW in accordance with program requirements.
  • Participate in team meetings, training activities, and program evaluation efforts.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule to accommodate property operating hours, resident needs, and occasional evening or weekend events.
