About the OpportunityHERO House Everett is hiring a Mental Health Generalist to join us in supporting the rehabilitation of adults living with persistent mental illness. This is an impactful, hands-on role for someone who wants to work side-by-side with our members, helping them build confidence, skills, and meaningful relationships.
We are not a clinical program. We are part of the Clubhouse International model, which supports members in reclaiming purposeful roles in their community through shared work, relationships, and empowerment.

About the RoleAs a Mental Health Generalist, you'll work closely with members to support the daily operations of the clubhouse. Your main role isn't to "do for," but to "do with." That means working alongside members and encouraging participation through hands-on, collaborative support.
This open position centers on leading our Hospitality Unit, which includes:
- Planning and preparing daily lunches with members
- Grocery shopping and budgeting
- Maintaining a clean and welcoming kitchen
- Running the snack bar
- Teaching food safety, nutrition, and basic cooking skills
Because this is a Generalist role, you may also occasionally support other clubhouse areas, such as:
- Creating our monthly newsletter
- Designing flyers and member resources
- Updating our website and social media
- Running the front desk
- Tracking attendance and assisting with administrative tasks
- You're warm, approachable, and genuinely enjoy supporting others
- You value equity, recovery, and self-determination
- You're comfortable leading by example rather than giving orders
- You thrive in dynamic environments and are comfortable wearing multiple hats
- You have a passion for cooking, developed through personal or professional experience
- Starting at $58,000+ / year (DOE)
- Full health, dental, and vision insurance
- 2 weeks paid time off + holidays including New Year's Day, MLK Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (2 days), Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve.
- Double time-off compensation when working on major holidays
- Occasional travel for conferences, training, and social events (covered)
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Valid WA State Driver's License
- Personal vehicle (for grocery runs - mileage reimbursed)
- Able to pass a criminal history background check
- Basic computer literacy (MS Word, email, web-based tools)
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, including listening, collaboration, and follow-through
- Willing to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays:
- About once a month: 2-hour Thursday evening social event
- Compensated with equal time off
- About once every 3 months: 2-hour weekend social event
- Compensated with time and a half off
- Rotating staff schedule for 4-hour holiday social events
- Compensated with double the time-off
- About once a month: 2-hour Thursday evening social event
- Willing to travel overnight for conferences/trainings
- Experience working with people with serious mental illness
- Background in human services, education, community outreach, or related fields
- Training in trauma-informed care or recovery-based models
- Cooking skills from either personal or professional experience
- Comfort with both kitchen/hospitality work and communications/admin work
