We are seeking a highly experienced Certification Engineer with strong expertise in embedded software and DO-178B/C processes to support aerospace certification activities. The selected candidate will initially work onsite at Boeing's Everett, WA facility for the first month and transition to a remote role thereafter. This role requires deep knowledge of FAA/EASA certification
, software lifecycle documentation
, and DER support
, along with hands‑on experience in embedded software analysis and testing.

• Perform detailed analysis of embedded software including:
  • Memory management (dynamic/static memory, memory leaks)
  • Object code analysis
  • Watchdog timers
  • Hardware/software partitioning
  • Dead code and deactivated code analysis

• Develop and execute embedded software testing strategies
• Conduct:
  • Unit testing
  • Hardware-Software Integration Testing
  • Software-Software Integration Testing
• Create and review:
  • Test plans and procedures
  • Structural coverage analysis
  • Worst‑case execution time (WCET) analysis

• Prepare and review certification documentation in accordance with DO-178B/C
• Develop and review Software Accomplishment Summaries (SAS)
• Work with certification artifacts including:
  • SDP (Software Development Plan)
  • SVP (Software Verification Plan)
  • PSAC (Plan for Software Aspects of Certification)
  • HLR/LLR (High/Low‑Level Requirements)
  • SCI, SCMP, SVMP
• Support Stage of Involvement (SOI1–SOI4) audits

• Collaborate with FAA/EASA authorities
• Provide hands‑on support to Designated Engineering Representatives (DERs)
• Ensure compliance with aerospace certification standards and regulatory requirements

• Strong experience in Embedded Software Engineering
• Hands‑on expertise with DO-178B/C certification processes
• Proven experience preparing certification documents
• Familiarity with all Software Accomplishment Summary (SAS) artifacts
• Experience supporting DERs and audit processes (SOI1–SOI4)
• Solid understanding of FAA/EASA certification requirements

• Experience in aerospace or avionics systems
• Strong analytical and debugging skills in embedded environments
• Prior experience working with Boeing or large aerospace OEMs
