Delivery Lead Driver – CDL Class A

Pay Range: $33.50 - $35.00 per hour
SummaryThe Lead Delivery Driver plays a critical role in the day‑to‑day operations, interacting with customers, Sales Representatives, and drivers daily to meet business expectations. They are responsible for delivering, unloading, and checking in the product to customers each day. Drivers lead the team, assisting supervisors, supporting training, ensuring DOT compliance, and providing leadership to the delivery department.
Primary Responsibilities- Oversee workflow of assigned delivery team
- Assist with new driver onboarding, including driver qualification files
- Maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards established by management
- Develop and maintain positive, cooperative, and team‑oriented relationships with coworkers, supervisors, managers, and others
- Communicate with supervisors and provide feedback regarding personnel, mechanical and system, logistical, and customer service issues
- Assist in leading the delivery drivers in a supervisor’s absence
- Adhere to and follow all company policies, procedures, and governmental regulations
- Adhere to all state liquor laws and regulations
- Balance invoices, money, and inventory
- Provide excellent customer service to all assigned accounts
- Work with the sales team to support and evaluate customer’s needs
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company’s Core Values at all times
- Complete all other tasks or projects as assigned

Work EnvironmentThis job operates indoors and outdoors.
Physical Demands- Use power/manual pallet jack
- Lift/carry and push/pull 35 lbs. repetitively, moving kegs up to 165 lbs.
- Bend/stoop/crouch/squat/use arms/wrists/hands/grasp
- Must be able to drive and operate a vehicle
This is a full time position; days and hours vary and may include weekends and overtime.

RequiredEducation and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL)
- Maintain valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and current certifications
Education and Experience
- Six months previous driving experience
- Previous grocery or retail experience
- Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
