Position Overview
CDL Drivers – Boom Operator at Foundation Building Materials (FBM). Responsible for safely delivering materials to project sites, operating up to 26' trucks and boom equipment, and providing excellent customer service on local routes.
Key Responsibilities- Operate company vehicles, including up to 26' trucks, in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Safely operate boom equipment in accordance with company and safety procedures.
- Deliver materials to customer project sites on time and confirm deliveries against packing slips.
- Unload, protect, move, and stage materials per customer directive.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
- Adhere to OSHA and company safety protocols.
- Use proper lifting techniques and wear appropriate PPE.
- Attend required training programs and safety meetings.
- Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding delivery status.
- Follow all driving regulations, including seatbelt use.
Job Requirements
- Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation.
- Regular driving or sitting in trucks, forklifts, or similar equipment for many hours daily.
- Occasional lifting or moving up to 80 lbs and climbing ladders carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Pushing and pulling carts over various distances; may perform as a team.
- Ability to learn and operate forklift and other company vehicles and tools.
- Additional physical demands may apply.
- Boom operator experience required.
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL with minimum 1‑year commercial driving experience.
- Works well in a team environment.
- Basic knowledge of forklift and other equipment operation.
Base: USD 25.00–30.00 per hour (full‑time). Competitive based on experience and location.
