Job Summary
To serve our customers by safely and efficiently transporting product from the warehouse, driving a tractor‑trailer to various customers and properly delivering and unloading product according to customer invoices and company standards.
Responsibilities- Unload product from trailer by hand or using a hand cart down ramps, stairs, or docks in all weather conditions and place in designated customer storage areas according to specifications.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed according to company and governmental guidelines, including DOT logs, inspections, maintenance reports and pre‑ and post‑trip reports.
- Ensure all food safety protocols are met, maintain proper temperatures, inspect product for visible damages, and prevent cross‑contamination.
- Maintain sanitary conditions in tractor, trailer, warehouse and yard.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with customers by providing excellent and courteous service with clear communication.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent. One year of tractor‑trailer driving experience preferred; completion of a tractor‑trailer driving school accepted.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
- Insurable to operate a vehicle.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, Hazmat guidelines, and safe lifting and delivery practices.
- Skill in driving over long distances and varied terrains in different weather conditions, communicating with customers, solving problems, and delivering product.
- Ability to drive tractor‑trailer day and night, meet or exceed minimum productivity levels, handle hazardous materials and food items, operate a 3‑axle tractor, 45′–48′ trailer, straight truck, onboard computer, keypad, and a 2‑wheel hand cart, read and speak English, perform basic math, plan and organize work independently, and solve problems.

Physical DemandsRegularly required to sit, talk and hear; frequently required to lift, push or move up to 50lb by hand and push/pull up to 350lb with a hand cart, climb in and out of a tractor and trailer, reach to stack and unstack pallets, bend and twist while loading and unloading, and retrieve items from the trailer. Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WorkEnvironment
Overnight schedule including weekends, holidays, overtime, on‑call and varied start times. Exposure to wet, hot, extreme cold and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, confined spaces, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and moderate noise levels. Work requires adaptation to changing start times and customer needs.
