Position Summary

This part‑time position reports to the Director of Workforce Initiatives and requires Saturday and Sunday instruction from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with occasional weekday afternoons.

Minimum Qualifications

Active Class A CDL with a valid DOT health card.
Maintain a positive student‑learning experience during hands‑on driving.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Follow all federal and state laws while supervising student drivers.

Preferred Qualifications

At least one year of over‑the‑road driving experience.
Previous teaching or training experience.
Working knowledge of log books.
Working knowledge of pre‑trip inspections.
Working knowledge of required DMV shifting patterns.

Responsibilities

The Road Instructor will take students driving each weekend on various routes, reinforcing classroom material through hands‑on experience.

Pay Range

Range $17.65 – $21.47 based on the College's salary plan. The high end may increase with a higher relevant educational level.
