Crescent-Bus Driver

Contract Terms

• Bus Driving Part-time:
  Split-shift, approx. 3 hours per day, plus athletic and field trip rotation
• Pay is based on placement on the district salary schedule.

Bus drivers are responsible for transporting students to and from school and on designated extra-curricular activities and field trips. Driver hours are from approximately 6:45 to 8 a.m. and from 2:15 to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday during the school year. Extra-curricular and field trips may require longer daytime and/or evening hours.

The successful applicant must have a valid Washington State Driver's License and a Class B CDL with a passenger and school bus endorsements. Additional requirements include current First Aid Card and DOT physical. School bus drivers are also subject to random drug/alcohol testing.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students, parents and the community.
• Must communicate effectively with co-workers.
• Be able to remain flexible and work effectively under pressure.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Be able to maintain a congenial approach in a busy student-centered environment.
• Be able to follow directions and work with the administration and staff of the Crescent School District.
