Overview
Collins Aerospace is looking for a high energy, dynamic team member for a Materials Associate role to support sustaining business for three value streams (Cabin Integration, Lavatory, and Water Systems) at Collins Everett, WA facility. The successful candidate will provide critical support following inventory procedures. In this position you will be reporting to the Logistics Supervisor. Performs a variety of manual/administrative tasks associated with inventory control, WIP, and kitting operations in accordance with established procedures.
WhatYou Will Do
- Maintain and track raw materials and finished goods, conduct cycle counts relating to physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
- Document and log materials received, distributed, and stored using an ERP system.
- Adhere to functional group KPI and provide feedback for opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Pull and deliver materials to production areas, stage finished products, and ensure lines are replenished to meet production needs.
- Use of material handling equipment to include screw guns, etc.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
- Conduct Pre and Post trip inspections of all company vehicles, maintaining the vehicles
- Load truck following the established safety standards and to ensure product integrity
- Complying with safety regulations and traffic laws
- Maintain records and keep documents of all shipments based on requirements.
- Load/unload inbound/outbound shipments validating material against shipping documentation.
- Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unaided
- Ability to obtain a forklift certification
- Computer skills to include data entry of material movement
- Knowledge of SAP and Excel (look ups, pivot tables).
- Manufacturing industry experience
- Previous material handling experience
