Pay range for this position is $38.70 - $57.78/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is a Salaried position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Coordinator Quality and Safety RN is responsible for coordinating, completing, and monitoring activities necessary to implement a robust Quality and Safety program. Assists with processes and key initiatives which support strategic patient safety goals and optimal health outcomes, including safety projects assigned. Is responsible to coordinate implementation efforts required to operationalize local corrective action plans and sustain solutions.

Works in the Quality and Safety department and works collaboratively with facility leadership, Mission Partners, risk management, medical staff and others within the facility and across the Ministry to assist and engage Mission Partners across the OSF ministry with ensuring processes support high reliability and Mission Partners have the tools and skills needed to achieve zero harm. Develops and maintains relationships with OSF leaders in order to address safety care gaps and processes that enhance workforce commitment as well as quality, safety, service and financial performance that supports the achievement of strategic safety outcomes for OSF.

The position provides clinical knowledge, expertise and guidance to non-RN Coordinators Quality Safety.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience:

    Past participation in quality and safety committee or project work or responsibility in investigating safety events
  • Licensure/Certification:
    Current state license as a RN

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience:

    5 years clinical experience in field of study.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    Patient Safety or Healthcare Quality
