Speech Pathologist
A K-12 school in Evergreen, AL, is seeking skilled professionals to provide speech-language services on a contract basis for the current school year (CSY). This opportunity is ideal for certified Speech‑Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Speech‑Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) who are passionate about supporting students' communication needs in an educational setting.
Responsibilities- For SLPs:
Assisting with PreK and early childhood speech and language evaluations to identify student needs. - For SLPAs:
Providing direct speech‑language services to students under the supervision of an SLP. - Collaborating with educational teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of services and student progress.
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to student success.
- Valid certification or licensure as an SLP or SLPA in a school setting.
- Experience working with children in the PreK‑12 age range, preferably within schools.
- Familiarity with early childhood speech and language evaluations (for SLPs).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with educators and families.
- Ability to commit to 10‑15 hours per week from ASAP through May 22nd.
This position offers the flexibility of a part‑time schedule and the rewarding experience of supporting student communication development in schools. Immediate availability is preferred, with the contract running through the end of the current school year.
