Job Overview
Mobile Associates (MA) work as a member of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They are brand ambassadors who build energy and excitement around our products and services. They immerse themselves in significant connections with customers, building new and deepening existing relationships.
They continuously build expertise in uncovering customer needs and have a passion to educate, demonstrate, and recommend device and service solutions. This role is a learning role; new associates work with their team and proactively build skills and proficiencies in preparation for the next level up as a Mobile Expert. As a Mobile Associate, you will be required to successfully complete new employee training.
- Build proficiency related to serving and selling to our customers while providing a world‑class customer experience and building loyalty, helping customers pick up right where they left off in their shopping journey, whether online, through Customer Care or in‑store; exploring individual needs and providing hands‑on demonstrations of the latest technology in‑store; side‑by‑side selling to find personalized solutions beyond the bare‑bones device and service plan that keep customers connected to the people and lifestyle they love, including unique accessories and cutting‑edge IoT devices;
approaching service and sales needs with composure, integrity and compassion. - Become skilled with and consistently use digital tools in interactions and onboarding to actively demonstrate how coverage stacks up and how T‑Mobile plans let customers live unlimited, feel the love, stay connected and go further; complete training on the T‑Mobile in‑store experience, new skills and processes, knowledge of systems and reference resources; make the most of their time on shift, consistently seeking out information between customers and learning about innovations in wireless and technology.
- Establish relationships with and partner with T‑Mobile employees across channels, including business and customer service to collectivly own the customer experience and resolve issues, creating a seamless, run‑around‑free environment; successfully identify and handoff small business leads; support team initiatives and create an inclusive environment.
- High School Diploma/GED (Required)
- 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, retail environment preferred (Required)
Skills and Abilities

Hourly Base Pay: $19.50, plus $5.00 per hour training pay.
Within the first 90 days working at T‑Mobile, Mobile Associates receive on‑the‑job training and are eligible for hourly training pay. Once completed, they promote to the Mobile Expert role and become eligible for an annualized incentive target of $18,000/year. Actual incentives vary based on performance and full‑time status. All employees at T‑Mobile are guaranteed to earn $20/hour inclusive of base pay and incentives.
Since all employees are owners, every employee at T‑Mobile is eligible for an annual stock grant.
