Journeyman Lineman - Evergreen

Summary

Perform the duties of lineman classification involving overhead and underground electric distribution systems.

• Respond to emergency callouts after normal work hours and on weekends.
• Perform safe, proficient, and effective pole‑climbing.
• Use hot line tools, protective devices, fuses, lightning arresters, disconnect switches, breakers, grounding sets, and transformers.
• Operate Line Construction and Maintenance vehicles, including forklifts, digger‑derricks, platform digger units, wire and rope tensioning units, and similar equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electric distribution systems.
• Follow all safety rules, regulations, and OSHA requirements in field service work.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class A CDL driver’s license and a valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
• Completion of a qualified apprenticeship program and possession of a Journeyman Lineman certification.
• Physical ability, endurance, and desire to perform strenuous outdoor work under various weather conditions.
• Willingness to live within 40 minutes/40 miles of the Evergreen Service Center.
• Knowledge of distribution primary feeder circuits, transformer loading and connections, fusing practices, electric meter sets and their connections.
• Proficiency with rubber gloves, sleeves, line hose, switching procedures, and PPE in accordance with company and OSHA requirements.
