As a Heavy Civil Laborer, you'll work alongside experienced construction professionals performing critical civil construction and utility installation work on active jobsites throughout Hawai?i.

• Perform construction-related labor under the direction of the Foreman and project leadership.
• Assist with pipe installation for water, sewer, storm drain, and utility infrastructure projects.
• Assemble, connect, and install underground pipe systems and utility components.
• Support excavation activities, trenching operations, back filling, grading, and compaction work.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, compactors, rollers, skid steers, and other construction equipment as authorized.
• Load, unload, transport, and stage materials, tools, and equipment.
• Assist with concrete placement and other underground utility construction activities.
• Maintain visual and verbal communication with crew members and equipment operators.
• Signal operators during excavation and material placement activities.
• Perform traffic control and flagging duties when required.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and project requirements.
• Support the crew wherever needed to ensure project success.

• Minimum one (1) year of civil construction experience.
• Experience with underground utility installation, trenching, pipe fitting, or related civil construction work preferred.
• Ability to read and follow directions from supervisors and project leadership.
• Strong commitment to jobsite safety and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently while remaining a dependable team member.
• Ability to adapt to changing project priorities and field conditions.

• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience working around heavy equipment and underground utility systems.
• Traffic control or flagging certification.

This is a physically demanding position requiring the ability to:

• Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 pounds.
• Frequently bend, kneel, squat, crawl, climb, and work in uneven terrain.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Safely access and exit trenches, excavation areas, and construction equipment.
• Perform repetitive manual labor throughout the workday.
