We are looking for a Service and Delivery Technician III to support Safeway retail grocery stores in and around Honolulu, HI and the surrounding area including Eva Beach, Mililani, Aiea, and Kailua. The role involves deploying equipment, installing new hardware and software, and troubleshooting IT systems such as computers, printers, POS Systems, scales, and network servers. The position is based in Honolulu, HI with 25% travel to the outer islands (Maui and Kauai).

You will provide IT support to the Safeway stores, work on deployment and configuration of hardware, and conduct break‑fix repairs. You will also learn new technologies, network with fellow technicians, and support store directors to run best‑in‑class retail grocery stores.

• Support standard hardware platforms and systems installed throughout Safeway
• Repair all approved standard technology hardware including PC/Server hardware, Network hardware, RF hardware, and printers.
• Provide complete recoverability of systems and applications.
• Troubleshoot resolution.
• Install new hardware and software.
• Provide customers with IT support and meet goals for service level agreements.
• Provide network and remote connectivity support.
• Maintain equipment inventory controls and policies.
• Work with Support Center (STSC) on assignment of problems, support issues and concerns with computer systems.
• Interface with all Corporate IT groups for on‑site support and technology resolutions.
• Adhere to repair standards and service levels established.
• Have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle; driving required for this zone service area.

• Excellent telephone, customer service and problem‑solving skills to resolve high‑pressure issues in remote locations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to present technical information clearly.
• Working knowledge of IT hardware, installation models and Windows, MS Office, and related applications.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and be a strong collaborative partner in a matrixed organization.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, day, evening, and overnight, as well as on‑call support capacity.
• Strong sense of urgency, business ethics, dependability and follow‑through.

• High school graduate, BA/BS degree preferred, or 3+ years of technical/training/hardware certifications preferred.
• Information Technology project implementation exposure with 5+ years of technical systems and 2+ years of technical support experience.
• 2+ years’ experience with retail store systems, technology systems and hardware preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience with installation and configuration of desktop and peripheral technology preferred.
• Must have a safe driving record and a reliable vehicle for this position.

• Must sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time.
• May spend long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal.
• Will use keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment during a normal workday.
• Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required during job duties.
• Workday is fast‑paced; some evening and weekend work may be required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment with twisting and turning during installations.
