Position SummaryThe Game Room Maintenance Technician will coordinate and execute a preventive maintenance schedule for Game Room machines, prescribed by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) specifications and in consultation with the Member Services Manager. Maintenance includes routine scheduled cleaning, adjustment, lubrication, replacing cables or belts, and vacuum dusting. In contact and consultation with OEM technicians, the technician will diagnose and repair center machines, which may involve unplugging and replacing electronic control boards or components, checking connections, and calibration or internal alignment.
Performs weekly preventive checks of all machines, or at least twice monthly for repairs. Cleans equipment and performs general custodial duties, including detailing machines and high dusting.
The Game Room Maintenance Technician will have a deep commitment to the mission of The Salvation Army, which will be evident in their professional life and the manner in which they represent the Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in the community.
RequiredEducation and Experience
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum of one year experience fixing/repairing arcade machines.
Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be accepted.
Essential Functions- Responsible for maintenance and performance of all Game Room machines. Inspect machines on a routine schedule.
- Establish a preventive maintenance program for all machines in consultation with the Member Services Manager and as prescribed by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) specifications.
- Perform routine repairs to all arcade machines following O.E.M. specifications.
- Complete all work orders and preventive maintenance (PM) as assigned, annotate and update work logs for specific requirements.
- Assist in identifying projects requiring outside contractors; obtain quotes and arrange services of outside vendors as directed by Member Services Manager.
- Maintain and inventory a ready supply of routine maintenance and custodial supplies.
- Troubleshoot and complete minor miscellaneous repairs; replace light bulbs and ballasts; perform minor electrical and mechanical repairs as may be required.
- Follow oral and written instructions while communicating with Member Services Manager and/or Child Watch Lead.
- Assist in acquiring the part(s) needed from the manufacturer or part company.
- Follow and ensure adherence to The Salvation Army Policies and Procedures.
- Maintain the Code of Ethics policy established for the Kroc Center Hawaii.
- Attend meetings and other administrative meetings as required.
- Be available for a flexible schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
