Compensation: $17.50 per hour

The Department of Computer Science is seeking candidates for the Computer Science Department drop‑in tutor role. This role helps ensure student success in Computer Science courses and allows the student worker to gain a deeper understanding of course concepts. Candidates will be expected to offer tutoring hours in‑person, on‑campus, during the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters.

• Provide appropriate level of academic assistance to individual or small groups of students seeking department drop‑in tutoring services for Computer Science courses.
• Work with Department Program Assistant, Department Chair, and other faculty to ensure that academic integrity principles are adhered to.
• Maintain log of concepts covered during tutoring hours.

• Provide quality assistance to students and course instructor.
• Gain an understanding of professionalism and confidence working in an academic environment.
• Gain a deeper understanding of concepts with which they are providing assistance.

• Junior or Senior Computer Science majors only.
• Completion of CSC 220, CSC 230, CSC 270, CSC 325, and CSC 335. Completion of additional advanced Computer Science courses preferred.
• Student must be able to work independently and maintain log of concepts covered during drop‑in hours.
