AI Literacy Project Student Workers (4) – Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning Microinternship
Are you curious about artificial intelligence and how it is changing the way people learn? The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) at the College of New Jersey is hiring four student workers this summer to serve as reviewers of an AI Literacy course. Your job is to experience the course the way a student would, and tell us what works, what is confusing, and what could be improved.
Your feedback will directly influence the final version of a course that will reach students across campus in the coming academic year.
Hours per week:
Varies. Term:
July 13–16, 2026, 1‑4 PM each day. Compensation: $16 per hour.
- Review a draft of course modules and complete all assigned activities as a learner would, noting points of confusion, gaps, or technical issues.
- Provide written and verbal feedback on course content, navigation, clarity, and overall learner experience.
- Participate in structured debrief sessions each day to discuss findings as a team.
- Complete feedback forms, reflection prompts, or surveys provided by CETL staff.
- Collaborate respectfully with fellow student workers and CETL staff throughout the project.
- When needed, create digital assets such as images or videos for inclusion in the modules.
- Describe key concepts in AI literacy, including ethical AI use, AI limitations, and responsible disclosure practices.
- Evaluate the clarity, accessibility, and effectiveness of online course content from a student perspective.
- Apply constructive feedback skills in a professional collaborative setting.
- Articulate their own developing understanding of AI tools and their role in academic and professional contexts.
- Currently enrolled TCNJ student in good academic standing.
- Interest in educational technology, artificial intelligence, or digital literacy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and provide constructive, specific feedback.
- Punctuality and commitment to attending all scheduled sessions.
- No prior AI experience required.
- Diverse perspectives are welcome and encouraged.
- Laptop and earphones available; provided if needed.
